Multi-units, explained: How Guesty supports the management of multi-unit short-term rental properties

In the name of making Guesty one place for all kinds of short-term property management companies to manage all kinds of listings, we’ve expanded our platform’s functionality to support multi-unit listings. Want to understand more about how Guesty can facilitate the management of multi-unit properties? Read on or watch the video below for a comprehensive picture of our multi-unit feature suite.

What qualifies a property as a multi-unit?

A multi-unit property consists of a group of sub-units that are similar or identical to one another in appearance and are also subject to the same booking terms, in terms of pricing, guest capacity and minimum nights per stay.

Guests who book a sub-unit expect to stay at a unit quite similar to the one displayed on the booking site, even if it isn’t that exact one.

An example of a multi-unit would be an apartment block that contains six standard double rooms, all similar in size and appearance.

How can multi-units be managed via Guesty?

On Guesty’s dashboard, users can group a list of sub-units together, allowing for quick navigation between them in order to manage their settings. Property management companies can assign reservations to sub-units manually or automatically and can easily transfer upcoming reservations from one sub-unit to another in order to make room for more bookings and maximize occupancy.

Where can multi-units be distributed?

Multi-unit properties listed on Guesty can be pushed to both Airbnb and Booking.com and existing multi-unit listings on Booking.com can be linked back to Guesty.

For all other channels, each sub-unit must be published as a separate listing, but managing the property within the Guesty platform will still be far simpler.
